Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus. I know the blessings of the Lord are upon you.
We had a wonderful trip to Honduras. Pastor G.A. Standfield from White Oak, Texas went with Floye and me. Missionary Peter Jurka co-coordinated the convention in his church in Tegucigalpa. All to gather about fifty pastors and leaders attended the three day seminar. Thirty off these Pastors and leaders from outlying parts of Honduras have worked with us for the last 25 years. It was so good to be with them and see their growth in the Lord. Pastor Standfield, a 74 year old young man was anointed with a special anointing as he taught the pastors up to 7 hours daily. The people are still basting in the anointing that flowed from the Lord.
After, Pastor Standfield went back to the USA, Floye and I went on to be with Pastor Tito Ramirez near the Nicaraguan border. Brother Tito had been very ill and could not come to the seminar although 10 of his Pastors came. He could hardly get out of bed. The doctors said he had the symptoms of Parkinson disease. He had called all the Pastors that work with him to come to San Marcos De Colon for a meeting with us. We had lunch together. They shared with us some of their goals and needs. Some of the Pastors had walked 5 or 6 hours to get to the bus and they then rode several hours over really bad dirt and rock roads. We coordinated a convention in May with the Pastors and churches. Pastor Tito had asked if we could help to buy 50 foam mattresses for the people to sleep on when they come to the 3 day convention the 26-28 of May. Also 6 of the pastors asked if we could help them to buy Coleman lanterns for their churches. They are out past the electrical lines. We are believing to do both for them with your help. This would cost about a $1000.00 all together. Getting Back to Tito's sickness. At lunch he could hardly eat and could not drink a soda pop with the rest of the Pastors. We had a meeting after the lunch and Brother Tito ask Floye and I to pray for each of the Pastors We did that and then ask all the Pastors to pray for Floye and me. With the Pastors we laid hands on Brother Tito and believed God for a miracle for this faithful Brother. Later on in the Night service Pastor Tito began to jump, shout and praise God for his healing. The Lord Jesus blessed all of us by savings some souls, filling many with the Holy Spirit and healing many a long with Brother Tito. We later went to eat and visit after church. Brother Tito not only drank one coke, but two. He was shouting the victory for his miracle.
If anyone of you would like to go on this next Mission trip to San Marcos, Honduras you are welcome. We leave the 25th of May out of Houston and will be returning the 31st. We also leave for another mission trip and seminar to the northern part of Honduras the 7 of August with Pastor Reynaldo Urbina. Brother Reynaldo is supervisor and director of more than 25 churches. We would love for you to join us on these trips.
We will also be traveling to the Philippines in September if the Lord permits.
We want to thank each of you for being so faithful to help us travel and carry the gospel to the world. I know the Lord will repay you many times over.
God bless you
Joe and Floye Walters
